I am a complex, energetic, creative guy who has transitioned from a 25-year +/-truck driving career into the professional digital media and music field, now that I have acquired my B.F.A. in Integrated New Media from Indiana University South Bend. I am a life-long learner, once I became an adult, and actually came to realize the worth of education. My current professional world includes managing e-commerce channels for a toy company, but have many interests outside of work, including some freelance digital marketing and content creation. One of my "biggies" is my long-time passion for writing lyrical songs (and some instrumental) that are generally upbeat and positive. But real life is not always pretty, and sometimes my songs also reflect that, giving us an outlet for sorrow. I've also got a knack for writing commentary, webisodes, and screenplays for film. Much has yet to be determined. I married my wife Pam just over 31 years ago after meeting during active duty for the U.S. Army, in Oklahoma. She has been a staunch supporter for me over the years, not fully knowing the peculiar ride she would encounter. My conversion to Christianity in 1985 also serves as a foundation for my life principles and behaviors. With Mrs. Wood being from New England, we love the state of Maine, and hope to have a vacation cottage there someday. I am a huge fan of watching the "behind-the-scenes" of film making. Likewise, some of my favorite shows include "Modern Marvels," "How it's Made," "Person of Interest", and "Chicago Fire." My day is incomplete if I haven't had fellowship with Jesus, either in prayer or music, or having coffee with flavored coffee creamer, such as hazelnut or French vanilla. For meals, I favor mixed lettuce/veggie salads, with grilled chicken and honey mustard dressing, but also like traditional American fare of "meat and potatoes," as well as Chinese stir-fry combos. Stay tuned, as my many audio and visual compositions will change week to week, where I hope to inspire, question, or simply enjoy the path of life we're on together.
